Kelly Luchtman is a Chicago based filmmaker and the founder of the production company Lightfellow. Luchtman is director and producer of the local PBS documentary ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE, about Chicago’s Bloomingdale Artist Community co-produced by Thomas C. Gaunt and executive produced by Daniel Alpert. The documentary tells the story of a group of spirited artists who convert an old metal stamping factory into a communal work/living space for like-minded creatives. The film received funding from The Illinois Arts Council and The Ragdale Foundation and was co-produced in partnership with The Kindling Group and GAUNT FILMS. ARTIST IN RESIDENCE premiered on PBS in the Spring of 2012.
Luchtman’s other credits include producer of CHICAGO BY L for the Discovery Channel and producer of the WTTW Artbeat Chicago pieces SATURDAY NIGHT SENSUAL and HOME AT LAST the inspiration for ARTIST IN RESIDENCE.
